Thank you PLA attendees

We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Public Library Association Conference 2026.

As first-time exhibitors, we didn’t quite know what to expect—but the warm welcome from the library community meant a lot to us. We truly appreciate the time, conversations, and interest you shared.

Grateful for the Connections

We were fortunate to connect with so many of you—resulting in over 180 scans and conversations with library professionals exploring renovation, flooring replacement, ADA improvements, and efficient stack relocation.

What stood out most wasn’t just the projects—it was the shared focus on creating better library environments for the people who use them every day.

A Quieter, More Comfortable Library Experience

A common theme we heard throughout the show was how important the feel of a space is—not just visually, but acoustically.

Carpet systems like those from  www.milliken.com/en-us/flooring  designed to support that:

  • Reduces footstep noise in high-traffic areas

  • Helps absorb ambient sound, limiting echo

  • Creates a more calm, focused atmosphere

  • Provides a softer, more comfortable surface for staff and patrons

  • Helps maintain a quieter space—even during busy hours

It’s a subtle change that can make a meaningful difference in how a library feels day to day.

A Simpler Way to Renovate

Another topic that came up often was disruption—packing books, shifting collections, and the time it takes to put everything back together.

There’s a different way to approach it:

  • Shelving is moved fully loaded, keeping books in order

  • No boxing, labeling, or re-shelving required

  • Work can be completed in phases, minimizing downtime

  • Staff and patrons experience less interruption

  • The process stays organized and predictable

It’s about making renovations easier on the people who rely on the space—not just improving the space itself.
